ABOUT ME
My path to becoming a mobility specialist began through calisthenics training during my late teeens. What started with fundamental movements - pull-ups, push-ups, and dips - evolved into a deeper exploration of advanced bodyweight skills, a journey that continues to expand today.
Despite developing strength and skills, I encountered persistent challenges. My movements felt restricted, handstand alignments were inconsistent, and basic exercises like squatting caused discomfort. The common advice to "stretch" seemed oversimplified - I realized there was a significant knowledge gap between understanding the importance of mobility and knowing how to effectively implement it.
This realization led me to prioritize mobility training and deepen my understanding through extensive research and practice. I pursued formal education, qualifying as a personal trainer with a specialized CPD in Mobility.
My commitment to this field naturally evolved into a career transition to personal training and class instruction.
A pivotal moment in my professional development came when I secured a full-time position at a premium gymnastics and alignment focused studio in East London. This environment proved invaluable, surrounding me with experts across various movement disciplines. Combining this with 1000+ hours of hands-on coaching, this setting exponentially enhanced my expertise and understanding of human movement.
From there, I ventured out on my own supporting CEOs, athletes and major brands (inc. recently the Runna app)
Today, my mission is to reshape the fitness industry's narrative, emphasizing movement quality and functionality over purely aesthetic goals. In our increasingly sedentary world, this approach has never been more crucial.
